Training & coaching with Theatre

Theatre coaching enables safe experimentation with soft skills through improvisation and role play, promotes playful learning as well as deep self-reflection and interpersonal understanding.

What you can expect

The theatre exercises are designed to provide participants with an interactive and dynamic learning environment that supports the learning process through active participation and practical applications.

The warm-up exercises are the first step to playfully pick up the participants and sensitise them to the topic at hand. Through movement and activity, we create a positive atmosphere that motivates the participants and focusses their attention on the learning ahead. These exercises serve not only to warm up the body, but also to activate the mind and promote an open learning attitude.

The improvisation exercises are at the centre of the learning process, as they encourage spontaneity, flexibility and creativity in the participants. By trying out new ideas and reacting quickly to new situations, the participants’ cognitive abilities are challenged and further developed. These exercises are specifically linked to the chosen topic in order to facilitate the transfer of theoretical knowledge into practical application.

The theoretical units serve to reflect on and deepen the participants’ improvised experiences. Here we convey concepts and background information that help the participants to understand and categorise their experiences. By combining practical action and theoretical knowledge, we strive for a holistic learning process that promotes sustainable understanding and application.

The final part of the workshop consists of playing scenes together. This gives participants the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learnt in a realistic environment. Role-playing enables participants to find concrete solutions to problems or conflicts and improve their communication skills. By altering scenes, participants are challenged to broaden their horizons and adopt new perspectives, which often leads to surprising and creative solutions.

Overall, the exercises presented offer a holistic learning experience that addresses physical, cognitive and emotional aspects of learning. By combining movement, improvisation, theory and practical application, we enable a dynamic and effective learning process that empowers participants to use their knowledge and skills in a variety of ways.
